Workshop for Smart Phone Usage for Seniors (23 April 2016, Saturday, 9:30am-1:00pm)

Dear IEEE Fellow Members, Senior Members, Members and Graduate Student Members,
Greetings.
You are cordially invited to attend the Workshop for Smart Phone Usage for Seniors. The workshop aims to provide training and support to help smartphone-users get familiar with using their smartphone (both Android based and IOS based). This workshop is jointly organised by Monash University Malaysia Gerontechnology Lab, SeniorsAloud and IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society (TEMS) Malaysia Chapter.

Venue: Room 6-2-15/6-2-16, Building 6, Level 2, Monash University Malaysia, Jalan Lagoon Selatan, 47500 Bandar Sunway, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia.

Workshop Content:
how to edit settings
how to use camera and photo editing
how to transfer photos and videos from phone to computer
how to set up chat groups e.g. WhatsApp, Viber
how to download and install applications e.g. maps, GrabTaxi
how to access websites e.g. Youtube, Facebook, Malaysiakini
how to use search engines e.g. Google
Due to limited seating capacity, we can only take 50 participants. The workshop will be conducted in two sessions to run concurrently – one for iPhone users, the other for Samsung mobile users. Other Android phone users are also welcome.

Participants may park at the open carpark across the road from the university. It is just a 2-3 minutes walk to the main entrance.
